10 Artists You Can’t Miss at Hideout Festival 2022

Hideout Festival is making a huge return to Zrce Beach in Croatia for its 12th anniversary, with an epic lineup of electronic music artists.

This year’s edition is bringing together an eclectic mix of the world’s finest artists showcasing house, techno, drum and bass, garage, grime and more. Spread across five days and nights, they’ll be taking to the stage across Novalja’s most prominent nightclubs, including Papaya, Kalypso, Aquarius and Noa.

In anticipation of this stellar music festival, I’ve selected my top picks from this year’s lineup that I can’t wait to dance to in Croatia! 

1. Franky Wah

A series of chart-topping releases have catapulted Franky Wah into the electronic music spotlight since his breakthrough in the summer of 2018. He’s picked up the backing from an impressive array of peers and idols, including Tale Of Us, Solomun and trance king himself Tiësto. Franky Wah borrows influences from trance, breakbeat, house, techno and beyond to create a progressive and unique sonic identity.

2. John Summit

Hailing from Chicago, a city steeped in house culture and history, John Summit has quickly become one of the hottest names in the dance music industry. His feel-good house music, filled with pumping grooves and catchy melodies has filled dancefloors across the world. Summit’s prolific output has resulted in the accumulation of 5 million monthly Spotify listeners, the top-selling artist across all genres on Beatport in 2021, and a #1 track on US Dance radio with his record ‘Human’. 

3. HAAi

It was a moment on the Berghain dancefloor that unlocked HAAi’s passion for electronic dance music and soon after led to her first residency in London. HAAi continues to grow from strength to strength, captivating music fans from all over with her adventurous, unpredictable and trippy sets.

4. CamelPhat

Best known for their 2017 single “Cola” which took the electronic dance music scene by storm, CamelPhat’s emotion-rich and silky house sonics have reached some of the most prolific electronic labels. From resident DJs in nightclubs across Liverpool to global dance music sensations, they are one of the most sought-after music acts on the festival circuit today.

5. FISHER

From pro surfer to one of the industry’s most famous techno and house DJs, FISHER went from being virtually unknown to performing on some of the globe’s most acclaimed stages. His track “Losing It” is not only one of the hottest tracks of this decade but also earned FISHER his first Grammy nomination for “Best Dance Recording” at the Grammy Awards in 2019.

6. Hot Since 82

A household name in the electronic dance music industry, Hot Since 82’s infectious house and tech-house staples have captured the hearts of music fans all over the globe. His footprint as a DJ and producer has grown exponentially since he started mixing at the age of 17. Now a multi-million streaming artist, he has had numerous ‘Essential New Tunes’, ‘Hottest Records in the World’ and ‘Essential Mixes’ with BBC Radio One, and is a top 10 best-selling artist of all time on Beatport.

7. Eats Everything

Eats Everything first came into the limelight in 2011 with the release of “Entrance Song” on Pets Recordings. Since then, he has received global acclaim for a number of solo releases on Dirtybird, Hypercolour and Futureboogie. Now an accomplished producer, prolific remixer, label owner, and radio host with an army of loyal followers worldwide. Renowned not only for his vibrant and broad musical palette but also for his down-to-earth nature and unpretentious outlook.

8. Lilly Palmer

Since committing her career to music in 2015, Lilly Palmer’s passion and drive have not let up and have led her to make an impressive impact on the underground music scene. With powerful, impulsive tech and melancholic deep sounds, intriguing melodies and electrifying basslines, Lilly creates a unique and energetic vibe for her audience. 

9. Danny Howard

Known for his talents as an established BBC Radio 1 presenter, producer, tastemaker and influencer, Danny Howard is all-around a heavyweight on the global music scene and has played a pivotal part in shaping the UK dance industry over the years. His bold house and underground dance music always gets crowds going, no matter where he’s playing.

10. Jamie Jones

Undeniably one of the most high-profile DJs on the dance music scene, Jamie Jones is revered for bending and challenging the boundaries of music genres. From acid house to happy hardcore, and everything in between, his extensive sonic portfolio and experience have led him to pioneer his own warm and melodic techno sound that music fans worldwide crave.
